— Friday Duplicate Bridge Club

The club met Sept. 25 with five tables at play.

Winners were:

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels of Rogers will be holding its "Harvest of Caring Benefit," Saturday, Oct.

24, at the Rogers John Q.

Hammons Convention Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Two of the highlights of the charitable event will be both a live auction, with auctioneers Mike and Mike Jeffcoat, and silent auction.

The proceeds realized from the benefit event will be used for provision of daily meal service for deserving and homebound persons in the Rogers, Little Flock, Pea Ridge, Prairie Creek, Monte Ne and Rocky Branch area.

Bentonville-Rogers Christian Women's Club

Experience "A Harvest of Friends" at the monthly meeting and luncheon Monday, Oct. 12, at the multi-purpose building next to First Assembly of God, 2202 S. Walton Blvd., Bentonville.

Enis Ray, award winning watercolor artist from Pine Bluff, will talk about her "Best Friends." Tina Johnson will be the musician.

All women are invited.

Benton County School of the Arts

The school will host a music and arts festival "Puttin' on the Ritz" from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the school campus, 506 W.

Poplar St., Rogers.

The community can enjoy musical talents show cased throughout the day along with children's art activities and art exhibition with art sales. A silent auction will feature baskets with hotel stays and show tickets in Branson and Eureka Springs. Lunch and bake goods will be for sale.

Benton County ASEA Chapter

The Benton County Chapter of the Arkansas State Employees Association will meet at 5 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Benton County Health office, 1202 SW 14th St., Bentonville.

ASEA field representative Danny James will be in attendance and lead a discussion about state employee health insurance open enrollment period, the association's recent annual convention and the chapter's ongoing charitable community projects.

Beta Sigma Phi's Preceptor Alpha Upsilon

The group met Monday at the home of Marilyn Glenn. Opening Ritual by President Wilma Fiser.

Eleven members were present. Minutes and treasurer report were approved as read. Anna Welch and Kathy Spila, phone committee, reported all were contacted; publicity, Susan Shumate, reported it was in the paper. Nancy Chaffee is working on Ways and Means. Vicki Lunsford, service, reported we bring CAC donations the first meeting of the month and large oatmeal boxes the second meeting of the month (Marilyn Glenn will deliver). Also, we may look into what we can do for the Saving Grace organization which assists youths, over 18, who are no longer in the foster care program. Currently there are 14 young ladies being assisted.

Kathy Spila, Chery Peterson and Brenda Crawford are working on the scrap book. Chery Peterson reported from the Year Book. Marilyn Glenn read from the Yard Stick on "Articles 3 and 4 Organization Structure." Future socials: Oct. 24 will be the fish fry at Marilyn Glenn's;

November, Wilma Fiser is researching the Parade of Homes; Christmas dinner will be Dec. 4 at Mannie's, Corona Restaurant; the walleye $19.20 and prime rib $20.48 was chosen as the entree.
