— Nicholas Newman Powell, son of Dave and Julie Powell of Rogers, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Powell joined the Scouting program in 1998 as a Tiger Cub. As a member of Pack 5 he progressed through the Cub Scout ranks earning the Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei religious medals. He earned the highest rank in Cub Scouting, Arrow of Light award in 2003.

In March of 2003, Powell crossed over from Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts joining Troop 81 at Central United Methodist Church.
