Change your battery campaign

The Rogers Fire Department is participating in the “Change Your Clock Change Your Battery” campaign sponsored by Energizer Batteries. For 22 years the campaign has worked to urge households across the nation to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they change their clocks for Daylight Savings Time in the fall and spring. This year, Daylight Savings Time goes in to effect on Sunday, Nov. 1. To assist with the event, Energizer has donated three cases of 9 volt batteries. These will be added to our existing stockpile and distributed to any member of our community in need of one.

Requests for batteries or detectors may be made through the Rogers Fire Prevention Bureau at 986-6800. All requests will be addressed, and batteries or detectors will be provided and installed free of charge by fire department personnel.
