The Church at Northwest Arkansas

Pastor Benny Perez of The Church at South Las Vegas has announced his church will partner with Pastor Tim Parke to launch The Church at Northwest Arkansas.

The ministry will offer video messages from Pastor Perez in Nevada and provide hands-on ministry to the congregation in Bentonville through Pastor Parke.

A kickoff service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Mary Mae Jones Elementary School, 500 S.E. 14th St. in Bentonville.

The Rev. Shawn Franssens will deliver the sermon with services starting at 10:10 a.m. Sunday at the Boonslick Center in Jane, Mo., next door to the Boonslick Lodge.

Walk to defeat ALS The ALS Association of Northwest Arkansas will hold its annual Walk to Defeat ALS at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale on Sept. 26.

Registration is at 9 a.m.

The walk will begin at 10 a.m. The 1.5K walk is open to the public and will include fun-filled events for all ages.

All funds raised will be donated to the ALS Association of Northwest Arkansas to fund local patient services.
