Bands on parade

The parking lot at Rogers High School could have easily been mistaken for the staging area of a really large parade last week when 22 marching bands from across the region gathered to strut their stuff at the Region One Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association Marching Band Assessment.

Red Hat Hotties enjoying life

The first rule of the Red Hat Hotties is that there are no rules, Queen of Na’u Terry Fallatt explained. The club, which meets monthly at the Adult Wellness Center, is really just for fun, she said.

Splitting her day between two schools offers some challenges, P.E. teacher Marla Caton said, but she won’t ever give it up because she won’t ever give up Garfield Elementary School. The district’s smallest elementary school has a sense of family that she loves.
